2. A coffee cherry or coffee berry that contains a single bean instead of two is called peaberry.

4. Cultivation of the coffee bean originated in Ethiopia, in approximately 850 C.E. Farming of the coffee plant then spread to Arabia, where it was first mentioned in writing around 900 C.E. The Arabians guarded it carefully, but some plants were eventually smuggled out to the Dutch, who kept a few plants for gardens in the Netherlands. The Americas were first introduced to the plants around 1723. South America is now responsible for over 50% of the world's total coffee production.

Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih And Her Pole Dancing Past

It's been two days since a nasty news about Rima Fakih’s secret past first circulated on the Internet. She’s been a winner even before the Miss USA 2010 competition. Charice Pempengco and Justin Bieber on Oprah May 11 Episode

Two of the hottest teen pop star guested on Oprah a few hours ago, May 11, 2010 and guess what, one of them is our very own Charice Pempengco! No doubt Charice has really gone a very long way! Makes me proud I'm a Filipino. For the benefit of those few people who doesn't know Charice, check this out.

On January 31, Charice was one of the featured musical acts on a NBC Sports taped coverage of Silk Soy Milk Skate for the Heart, a show designed to raise awareness of heart disease. She performed "Note to God" and debuted two new songs included in her debut album, "In This Song" and "Breathe Out".

The album version and club remixes of her second single, "Pyramid" (featuring Iyaz), from her international debut album were released on February 23, 2010 and March 2, 2010. The Pyramid Remixes EP debuted at #46 on the Billboard Dance/Club play songs charts on the week of March 6, 2010. As of May 8, 2010 her remixes soared to #2 on the Dance charts on billboard.com

Her self-titled international debut album with Warner Records label was recently released May 11, 2010. Eleksyon 2010 Update 0511: Manny Villar Concedes and Congratulates, Noynoy Aquino

Manny Villar concedes and congratulates Noynoy.

“I congratulate Noynoy for his victory. The people have indeed spoken and I will respect their decision,” Manny Villar said.

The latest partial vote tally by the Commission on Elections showed Villar way behind Aquino at third place with 4,329,215 votes against the Liberal Party bet’s 12,233,002.

Villar said he now looks forward to spending more time with his family. He thanked his supporters, especially the poor whom he said he best related to.
